Maine Bicentennial
The Maine 200 website was done in collaboration with Burgess Advertising to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the state of Maine.
We were contacted by Burgess Advertising to build the new website for the 200th anniversary of the state of Maine. Burgess Advertising designed the website and we built it. The website is powered by our Aptuitiv platform. A splash page was put up early in the summer of 2018 and grew to a full site by the end of summer. The website will be one of the major ways to promote the bicentennial celebration and getting groups involved.
The official launch was on October 2, 2018, with the Maine200 Bicentennial Commission during a press conference and it was very well received.
The website features imagery from around Maine, links to partners and supporting organizations, a full events calendar, and information about volunteering and donating. As the celebration grows to the official event in 2020 the website will grow with more content and events.
The events calendar has a feature that allows the public to submit events. This allows the bicentennial calendar to grow with the help of the Maine community.
